Action Planet

We're keen
to be green

We believe that health is caring about the future of tomorrow, so we're doing some exciting things in our care homes to helping us support our purpose of making a better world.

We've recently taken huge steps to decarbonise all of our Bupa Care Homes and Villages kitchens by replacing all gas equipment with electric.

Our care home and village gardens are an important part of our wonderful residents wellbeing, so we are taking care of our gardens in a way that works with the local environment and reduces any negative impact on the planet by not using herbicides or pesticides to kill weeds, composting kitchen and garden waste and building fabulous bug hotels!

Eco
disruptive

The eco-Disruptive programme brings our people and small start-up businesses together, to find solutions to help those in society who face barriers to accessing quality healthcare.

Giving back
matters

As a health service, we have a duty of care to everyone in our local community.

Our charity, The Bupa Foundation, was set up to provide practical help for young people while improving their mental wellbeing. We partner with local charities, Mind and Career Ready. Helping students with employability masterclasses, workplace visits and internships.

The Bupa Foundation also supports vulnerable people in our local communities through a mix of grants, volunteering and fundraising.
