Recruitment process

Care Home recruitment process

We want to help you perform at your very best throughout you recruitment journey with Bupa. Our recruiters will always share the details of your next stage, but here is what our typical assessment process looks like.

Application

Seen a role that interests you? Fill in our short online application which will include uploading a CV.

Alternatively we have a physical application form (available at your nearest Bupa care home).

Review

Our team of recruiters will review your application and let you know if you’re being taken forward to the next stage.

We’ll aim to respond within 48 hours. However, it can sometimes take a bit longer due to the volume of applications.

Telephone Interview

This is your chance to speak with a recruiter, tell them all about you and ask as many questions as you need to about Bupa and the role.

It's also where we cover off any relevant legal or compliance questions such as right to work and qualifications where applicable. This usually takes between 20 and 30 mins but don’t worry the recruitment team will work with you to agree a suitable time

Interview

Our competency-based interviews are held in person at one of our care homes with the Care Home Manager or a member of the Care Home Leadership Team. For some roles there may be additional interview stages, short tests or scenario-based questions. Your recruiter will let you know in advance what the process will involve. They’ll also be on hand before your interview to help you prepare.

This is another opportunity for you to find out more about Bupa Care Homes to make sure we’re the right employer for you so have a few questions prepared.

Interview outcome

Following your interview your recruiter will contact you with the outcome and any feedback.

If you’ve been successful, they’ll confirm the offer details and let you know what information and documentation is needed from you to proceed before handing your details onto the relevant onboarding team.

Onboarding
