Meet Begay

Begay is one of our Laundry Assistants. She will show you what a typical day looks like working in one of our care homes.

There’s nothing like climbing into bed with fresh bed sheets, and we have Begay and her team to thank for this!

After twenty-three years, Begay still loves ironing and washing everything that keeps our care homes in tip-top shape. She describes the team as family, and we’re really grateful to have her in ours.

Our
housekeeping team

Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, our housekeeping teams are key in the success of our homes. Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, they ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms.

Housekeeping Supervisor

The role

Housekeeping Supervisors have an eye for detail and a heart for helping others.

They believe that a clean and comfortable environment is essential for the well-being of our residents. Our care home is more than just a place to live; it's a community where every detail matters, and every team member makes a difference.

Housekeeping Supervisors ensure that every corner of our care home sparkles. They lead a dedicated team of housekeepers, inspiring them to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

  • Always ensuring high standards of cleanliness within our home, you’ll work closely with the maintenance and management teams to ensure every room is well looked after

  • Leading by example, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms

  • Supervising housekeeping and laundry assistants, you’ll manage staff rotas, any training that is required and ensure that all housekeeping and domestic items are in stock or replenished accordingly

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

Experience in a housekeeping role, always completing work to high standards and take pride in maintaining an organised environment. With strong communication skills, you’ll be able to confidently lead and motivate a team to deliver the best service, but you’ll also be happy working independently, prioritising and delegating tasks amongst your team where necessary. With an approachable and caring nature, you will enjoy getting to know each of our residents as well as working closely with other teams.

Housekeeping Assistant

The role

Housekeeping Assistants have a knack for tidying up and a passion for helping others. They make a real difference every day by creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents.

Our care home is a place where every detail counts, and our team works together to ensure our residents feel right at home.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff

  • Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms

  • You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.

Laundry Assistant

The role

Laundry Assistants love the fresh scent of clean laundry and enjoy making a difference in people's lives.

They believe that every detail matters in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents. Our care home is a place where everyone works together to ensure our residents feel at home.

As a Laundry Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our care home.

Responsibilities

  • Always maintaining high standards of laundry within our home
  • Keeping our resident’s looking and feeling great; you will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and repairing items of clothing as needed
  • Maintaining linen stocks for day to day use around the home, you’ll raise any issues to the Senior Housekeeper as you go
